The song we chose to do for our lip sync video was 'I Really Like You' by Carly Rae Jepsen. We chose this song because all four group members liked the song and could think of several ideas we would love to incorporate into our video. The original video already features the Oscar award winning actor Tom Hanks lip syncing which looks really good, so therefore we knew if we achieved a similar standard it would look professional. In terms of our videos typology, it is similar to the original video as it is mostly performance with an element of narrative, allowing the audience to become attached to the characters rather than them just watching the video. The main concept of our video was to have four characters who all had different personas and their dissimilar approaches to winning over the heart of a girl. However the female in question was actually just a boy (Josh Obisanya) dressed as a female which when revealed to the four characters was shocking, surprisingly! Nonetheless the all put their differences aside and became a whole group of friends at the end. Below is our completed lip sync video.
